FAQ

As a homeowner, am I required to request permission to make exterior changes to my home?

Yes. All exterior modifications to your home must be reviewed and approved by the Board.

How do I submit a home modification request?

Before you begin any home modifications, please complete an Application for Modification and submit with accompanying plans/pictures or descriptions via TownSq.

The Board will review your request and render a decision within 30 days of submission.

How long does it take to receive a decision from the board once I have submitted a modification request form?

Of course, we will try our best to render a decision as quickly as possible.  However, please plan accordingly and allow up to 30 days for a final decision.

Can I appeal a board decision?

Absolutely.  Please submit a written appeal request and a hearing will be scheduled within 10 days.

I received a violation or fine. What do I do?

We recognize how frustrating receiving a violation notice can be.  However, from time-to-time, Homeside Properties, Inc. may issue a violation notice during routine community visits; all in the spirit of protecting our home values.

Upon receipt, you have 30 days to satisfactorily resolve a violation and notify Homeside Properties, Inc. before a fine is assessed.

Please also note; If resolving a violation creates an economic hardship, homeowners are strongly encouraged to contact Homeside Properties, Inc. or the Board for guidance.

What do my HOA dues pay for?

Generally, our assessments pay for property management and administrative services, common area maintenance and landscaping, legal and professional services, insurance and community engagement events.

I am interested in renting my home. How do I obtain a permit to rent my home?

Per our covenants, we have a rental cap and can only issue permits for eight (8) homes at a time (exception for hardship requests). Currently, we have reached our cap and have a waiting list.  If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please submit a Leasing Permit application.  Applications will be processed and waitlisted in the order in which they are received.

Please click on Leasing Rules & Regulations for more information.

As a reminder, unauthorized leasing (inclusive of short-term leasing, home sharing services e.g. Airbnb, etc.) is strictly prohibited and may result in fines ($25.00 p/day) and other penalties.

How can I get more involved in my community and learn more?

We have the following committees available and are actively seeking homeowners to participate– Architectural & Landscaping, Community Engagement & Service and Communications.  If you are interested in joining a committee please email secretaryhpe@gmail.com.
